Osho Meditation Camp at Centa Rosa, Solan

A 'Osho Dhyan Sadhna Shivir' is being organized by Osho Friends, Solan at Hotel Centa Rosa, Solan w.e.f. 21-5-10 to 23-5-10. Though I was reading Osho Literature for past 11 years it is for the first time I attended Osho Dhyan Shivir. The Meditation techiques developed by Osho are as deep, vast and practical as his writings. On Day first I practiced ' Sakriya Dhyan or Dynamic Meditation, Vipassana, Braham Nad & Kundilini Jagran. One thing I learnt today is that Dhyan is not a subject matter of discussion and one can not learn Dhyan by reading. The only way to learn Dhyan is to do it. Osho said about Dhyan that Dhyan is not a very serious thing and if you take it seriously you cant' do it. Just be playful with it. He quoted Guru Gorakh Nath "Hasiba, Kheliba, Dhariba Dhyanam". Doing Meditation, listening to Osho after meditation on tape and talking to the Osho friends , together, it was really a great experience for me.It is around 10.30 PM and I am preparing a draft of this post. The whole day meditation made my body little bit tired but my mind is completely relaxed. I have to getup early iin the morning at 4 AM to reach the meditation hall which is around 10 KM from my home. Now i am going to sleep.

This is a video of two little brothers, Banti and Sandeep, who lived in a slum at Khundidhar, Solan place in Himachal. Both these children have to earn their livelyhood by wandering house to house play their homemade musical instruments. This video is captured at Rabon, Solan.

Fire in a wooden Store near DC Office, Solan, Himachal

A massive fire broke out in Solan near DC Office Chowk. Around 1.30 PM on 1-5-10 suddenly fire caught a wooden store and spread very fast. The Firefighting Team, Homegaurds, Local Volunteers and the administration reached the place well in time otherwise it could be a big accident. With seven hours struggle they were able to extinguish the fire.

Harley Davidson in India.

Harley-Davidson Bike will soon be hitting the roads in India. The Booking of these bike has started. Initially these bikes will be on sale only in five major cities of India from June 2010 onwards. These five hot cities are Delhi, Bangaluru, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, and Mumbai. Harley is launching only 12

models of its bikes in India and the cost of these bikes will range from 7 Lacs to 37 lacs.

Sun will rise continuously for 36 hours starting 17 October

I received the following email message:

FW: Coming October 17 the sun will rise continuously for 36 hrs (1.5 days). During this time the US countries will be dark for 1.5 days. It will convert 3 days into 2 big days. It will happen once in 2400 yrs. We're very lucky to see this. Forward it to all ur frenz.

Did u got this mail? If not I am sure you will, in coming few days.

Now, a question arises that is it true or just a rumor. I don't think it is a true statement. Someone has created a hoax just to get attention. If it is, Nasa wouldn't keep quiet about it. So , do not belive stupid hoaxes unless there is real proof. For it to happen all of a sudden only for a day, the Earth would need to slow down its rate of spin. For a body as massive as the Earth, it is not possible without destroying itself as the energy from angular momentum changes so abruptly.

BABA BALAK NATH TEMPLE, GADKHAL, KASAULI, SOLAN HIMACHAL PRADESH

BEAUTIFUL VIEW OF KASAULI

Last Sunday I got a chance to visit the famous temple of Baba Balak Nath at Gadkhal.

Gadkhal! A place about 35 KM from Solan, near kasauli.It comes just 5 KM ahead of Kasauli,

which is also a famous tourist spot, while driving from Solan. Gadkhal is a hilly area and is famous for the temple of Baba Balak Nath. The beautiful temple is situated on the hill top. One can reach there by bus or taxi.

People from all over the Himachal as well as neighboring states visit this temple especially on Sundays and in Navratras. People believe that all their wishes are fulfilled in this temple. Every Sunday, the priest of the temple “Baba ji” sits on his ‘Gaddi’ and answers all the queries of the followers. It is said that when he sits on his gaddi a supernatural power of Baba Balak Nath enters in him, then the Baba correctly tells about one’s past and gives exact predictions of the future.

I visited the temple with my family members. We set out early in the morning at 6.30 am by Taxi and reached at 8.00 am. It was a bright sunny day. We witnessed beautiful sunrise at the temple. The Scenic beauty of Gadkhal itself is awesome. About 300 people were already present there when we reached the temple. Most of them had reached the place on Saturday evening and stayed in the ‘Mandir Sarai’ to get the Token for ‘Darshan’. There are enough arrangements for the night stay of the Bhakts visiting the place.  The first line of about 80 people started at 5.30 in the morning. As one of our family members was there since Saturday evening we managed to get the 95th Token and we were at 15^th place in the second line. We had to wait for 1 Hour for our turn. After ‘Darshan’ and taking ‘Aashirwad’ of Baba ji we came out of the temple and captured some nice pics in my camera.

Then we went to the ground near the temple, and the holy ‘Langar’ was ready. We took the Langar and left the place around 2.30 PM.

Natural Beauty of Solan

I use to go for a morning walk daily toward the beautiful and world famous Barog Railway station. There are some beautiful landscapes created by nature on the way and I have captured some of them through my camera phone.

This place is situated near Barog Railway Station.

Movie In Town

The Movie with a controversial background is being running at 'Anand Cinema', the only theater in the city. I watched the movie with my friend. The film is starring Shahrukh Khan and Kajol in main lead and as usual Kajol is looking stunning. She made the movie more interesting with her charming smile. SRK done a different roll but he overacted in a few scenes and storyline also seems weak sometime in the movie. But movie overall is good, as it gives a positive message to the society




I agree with the message of the film that the whole community should not be held responsible for the fault of others, belonging to that particular community. Love leads to peace and peace leads to happiness in the world. So let’s spread love around the world.


So Watch the movie and spread love, peace and happiness in the world.

Protest All Around

Fine Sunny Day.

Life in Solan city came to an halt for early two hours in the morning today. A ‘Bandh’ was organized by ‘Vishwa Hindu Parishad’ in protest of killing of cow in ‘Nerwa’, a village in Shimla Distt. of Himachal Pradesh. This incident sent a strong wave of resentment among people of Himachal.

In my opinion too, killing of cow is a shameful act and the accused must be punished. In fact, killing of all innocent and helpless animal should be stopped as it is resulting in environmental imbalance. There should be provision of strict punishment in law for killing of innocent animals.

Great concern for innocent animals.

Rest whole day was peacful.

JAI MAA SHOOLINI

Solan, the city beautifull, is named after the Goddess 'Shoolini Devi'. Earlier it was the Baghat Riyasat. This small hill station is situated in the lap of nature.
